Stone Book Festival

September 17th - 19th

 

Following the success of last year's Stone Book Festival, this years event will be held over the same weekend.

The Festival has managed to secure the following celebrities.

  • Roy Hattersley, Carol Ann Duffy, Freddie Jones, Jane Fearnley-Whittingstall & Ray Johnson.

 Stone Food & Drink 2010

October 1st - 3rd

 

 

 As well as the old favourites such as the Minibus Real Ale Trails and the Manger a Trois roving meals, there will be some new additions, such as late night shopping in the Gourmet Food Marquee on October 1st, and the new Park and Ride from Aston Marina. 

Also.......

 The Gourmet Food Marquee with over seventy stalls, free cookery demonstrations every day, a two day Farmers' market in the High Street, a Town Real Ale Trail, special offers and discounts across the town and Festive fayre in pubs and restaurants - what more could anyone ask for! 

 And to bring the Festival to a conclusion on Sunday 3rd October the Hairy Bikers come to Stone!

The Tour of Britain

September 12th

 

On Sunday September 12th, some of the world's best cyclists will be sprinting through Stone as they battle it out to win the second stage of the Tour of Britain.

Riders will sprint down Stafford Road, past Westbridge Park at approximately 11.05am before proceeding along Lichfield Street and Lichfield Road.

It's completely free to watch.

Audley Male Voice Choir

September 18th

 

Christchurch First School hosts an evening with Audley Male Voice Choir.  

There is nothing like the sound of a male voice choir for making the hairs on the back of your neck stand up and your spine tingle.

The choir will perform on Saturday 18th September at 7.30pm in Christ Church (Church), Stone.  

Tickets will be on sale from Bags of Beautiful Gifts and Jacques Cafe, both on Stone High Street and from Christ Church (Church) on 01785 811900, priced at £5 each.

Proceeds will be shared equally between the school and the church.


Stone Lion's 60's Night

October 16th

 

The Stone Lion's have organised a 60's night.

It will be held at St Dominic's Priory School Hall on Station Road

The Band is The Off Road Band who play all "60's" music.
